This is the room at Dunkirk Community Centre (GBP15 renting weekly). We have three different learning stations for Notts Lil' Caliphs to enjoy the excitement in the class.
"My Lord! Increase me in knowledge" Surat Taha (20): 114.

There are 4 key areas of learning:
1) CIRCLE TIME (15 minutes)
Personal, Social & Emotional Development (PSED) through Al-Quran and Sunnah
|
KAFA Notts Lil' Caliphs nurturing children to love and praise Allah & our beloved Rasulullah SAW.
Our PSED theme changes every 4 weeks, rotation of three different approaches in an open-ended learning environment. We hope to instil Iman & Taqwa to our little caliphs through the holistic elements of Selawat, Asmaul Husna and Du'a. We repeat the same routine in our weekly warming up session (5 minutes) as repetition is part of child's learning. This is their favourite hadith, which being repeated in the class.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"God, His angels and all those in Heavens and on Earth, even ants in their hills and fish in the water, call down blessings on those who instruct others in beneficial knowledge." (Al-Tirmidhi)
2) ALQURAN TIME ( 45 minutes )
There are four different approaches in delivering Al-Quran to the little caliphs:
1) Mini Tafsir series
2) Prophet Series
3) Albaghdadi
4) Group Time |
|
We also include element of Expressive arts & Design in this session as it is a very interesting medium to support children's learning.
|
3) Handwriting (15 minutes)
We are trying our best to deliver an intregrated learning environment.
4) Snack Time (20 minutes)
We find that this is an excellent session to teach our little caliphs about the beauty of Islamic eating etiquette.
In this session, it gives us the opportunity to accomplish our dual learning objectives :) We highlight that meal time is not just an eating time. It is hands-on experience, where we teach and explain, practically learn hadith about Prophetic manner. The most important thing is, this session is to reward our little caliphs after giving all their energies joining in the activities.
Jazakumullahu khairan kathira to parents provide us wity yummy food every week! :)
